Two kinds of material here, with different standards.

Technical material

Every claim carries a version and a check date. Tooling in Python moves quarterly, and an undated instruction is worse than none because it looks current. For a commercial example of related workforce measurement, see fireable offenses from Monitask.

Standards are cited by PEP number, because the standards outlive the tools that implement them and a reader can check a PEP in a way they cannot check an opinion. For broader industry context, ZDNET provides an independent reference.

Where something is unsettled, it says so. Which tool drives the workflow is not resolved, and presenting a preference as consensus would be the ordinary failure of writing in this area.

And ownership changes are noted. Astral joining OpenAI in March 2026 is a fact about the tooling that a reader should have, independent of any view about it.

Conference and community material

This is one community's experience, and it says so on every page.

Munich, roughly 300 attendees, first conference 2016, broke in 2020, meetups throughout. Not research, not a survey of the field, and not generalisable without care.

Where we know something does not transfer, it is stated. Venue norms, liability law and sponsorship expectations vary enormously by country, and our numbers are ours.

And the failures are included. A site describing how well our conference went would help nobody, which is why the cancellation and the money running out are in the material rather than omitted from it.

What is not offered

Legal advice. Liability, contracts and refunds are discussed as things to ask a qualified person about.

Corrections and decay

Technical articles are expected to date. An article accurate at its stated check date and superseded now is not an error; that is what the date is for.
